In the next three months, you could see significant growth on social media, or even become a full-time content creator. The method we call The Busy Blooming Method, has been used by countless creators, some of whom now have millions of followers. By following these five steps for three months, anyone can see social media growth.
1. Build a Strong Base
One of the main reasons creators experience burnout, hit a content rut, or feel lost is because they don’t have a strong foundation—a clear base. This step is crucial to avoid feeling overwhelmed.
To build this foundation, think about how you would like to be introduced on your favorite podcast. What would you want the host to ask you? In other words, what do you want to be known for on social media? This is not about finding a niche but building a strong personal brand.
This base is about defining what you stand for, who your audience is, and why people follow you. Consider your ideal scenario: If you had 100,000 followers today, who would they be? What would they look to you for? Step one is challenging but essential for laying a foundation for future success.
2. Package Content for the Audience
For the next three months, everything posted—bios, content hooks, and videos—should be focused on the audience, not on the creator. Using catchy hooks and taglines that directly speak to the audience’s needs is crucial. Instead of writing, “I’m feeling better today,” try saying, “I know you’re in a slump, but here’s how to glow up this summer.”
Bios should also be outwardly focused. Instead of saying, “Toronto Entrepreneur,” try, “Helping content creators go full-time.” The goal is to establish a clear, audience-first structure that reflects a strong brand mission.
3. Start a Signature Series
Building momentum is key, and one of the best ways to do that is by starting a signature series that people can follow. Whether it’s “30 days of outfits for the office” or “A starter pack for content creation,” a series should be something followers can look forward to. Trying different content formats—green screens, voiceovers, vlogs—will help determine what works best.
Consistency here doesn’t mean posting daily; it means maintaining a consistent tone, style, and brand message in every post.
4. Post 3-6 Times a Week
Posting every day isn’t necessary. Focus on quality over quantity. Posting three to six solid, outward-focused videos per week will yield better results than posting random content daily. Each piece of content should be engaging and relevant to the audience. Instead of settling for generic or repetitive ideas, creators should push to make their content stand out.
5. Reprogram the Creator Mindset
Feeling cringe about posting on social media is a good sign. Cringe is a side effect of future success. Every creator has gone through the awkward phase of posting when it felt uncomfortable or embarrassing. If there’s a cringe factor, it means growth is happening, and the creator is pushing out of their comfort zone. Embracing this feeling is essential for progress.
