The Busy Creator’s Starter Pack to Content Creation

Updated: 6 days ago

For those juggling a full-time job, social life, and everything in between, this starter pack is designed specifically for the busy creators who don’t have time to film a morning routine every day. Whether you’re aiming for a sustainable business or just growing your platform, this guide will help streamline the process.

1. Set an End Vision

The first step in content creation is having a clear end goal. Think about where you want to be in the long run. Do you want to start a podcast, become a full-time YouTuber, or launch an Etsy shop? If you had a million followers a year from now, how would you use that following to transition into a full-time career? Having an end vision is critical for maintaining focus and direction.

2. Establish Three Content Pillars

For busy creators, organizing content around three main pillars makes life much easier. The first pillar should be all about you. This can include personal content like vlogs, “Get Ready with Me” videos, or lessons learned in your 20s. Essentially, anything personal fits into this category.

The other two pillars should focus on additional topics that resonate with you. It could be lifestyle, fashion, makeup tips, or anything else you’re passionate about. These three pillars will serve as your Monday, Wednesday, and Friday posts, helping you maintain consistency without feeling overwhelmed.

3. Quality Over Quantity

A sustainable content strategy isn’t about posting every day—it’s about posting quality content that aligns with your long-term vision. Whether it’s filming vlogs or tutorials, focus on creating three high-quality videos each week, with one from each content pillar. Film them ahead of time, edit them in apps like CapCut, and schedule them on platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Pinterest using a tool like Later or each app’s own scheduling feature. If YouTube is part of your plan, post them on YouTube Shorts as well.

Once those three videos are filmed and scheduled, you’re set for the week. If you find extra time, that’s when you can engage with your audience through Stories and Lives.

4. Embrace the Cringe

As your content starts reaching more people, you may feel a bit cringe—especially if your videos are being seen by old classmates, colleagues, or acquaintances. Embrace it! Feeling cringe is simply a side effect of future success. The only way to make it as a content creator is to push through that discomfort and keep posting. Remember, everyone who has built a successful personal brand has felt the same way at some point.

5. Batch Content to Reduce Stress

Rather than stressing over posting every single day, think of it as creating 12 videos a month. With three videos per week, you can batch film all 12 videos in one day, like a Sunday afternoon, if that suits your schedule better. This way, you can plan content around your three pillars, ensuring you build a robust, sustainable brand without the stress of daily posting.

We’ve created  this starter pack to help maintain a steady stream of content while working towards building a personal brand. Focus on your end goal, organize around your pillars, and embrace the cringe—it’s all part of the journey to success!
